About Us

For over 35 years, Timothy E. Egerer, formerly the President and Managing Partner of Romain, Kuck and Egerer, P.C., has concentrated his civil trial practice on the representation of Plaintiffs and Defendants in the areas of No-Fault first party PIP benefits, No-Fault third party auto tort liability, premises liability (including homeowners, apartments, condominiums, commercial and businesses), property damage (including arson), contracts, insurance and general liability (including animal inflicted injury, assault, defamation, construction, Dram Shop and social host liability, landlord/tenant liability, malicious prosecution, sports and recreational liability, harassment, discrimination and wrongful death). During the course of his career, Mr. Egerer has tried to conclusion well over 200 jury trials throughout the State of Michigan in all of these same practice areas.

Today, the focus of his practice has naturally evolved into the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), by serving both the Southeastern Michigan Courts and litigation Parties and their Counsel with the successful resolution of their pending claims and lawsuits as both a Mediator (formerly, Facilitator) and Neutral Arbitrator in those same practice areas of civil litigation.

As a direct result of his experience in representing both the Plaintiffs and the Defendants (or their insurance carriers) in literally thousands of lawsuits over his career, Mr. Egerer is in the highly unique position (compared to most other Mediators/Neutral Arbitrators) of fully understanding what is necessary to successfully resolve cases short of a lengthy, protracted and expensive bench or jury trials…for both sides. His experience and talent for dispute resolution combined with unparalleled preparedness, willingness to listen to each Party’s or their representative’s and Counsel’s positions equally and without preconceived opinions as to which side should win or lose and his ability to effectively communicate those positions to the other side provides the best opportunity the Parties and their Counsel have to resolve their pending claims or lawsuits to their mutual satisfaction without the necessity of lengthy, expensive and, most of all, uncertain litigation. His experience as a Plaintiff, Defendant and Neutral Case Evaluator in the Oakland, Wayne and Macomb County Circuit Courts as well as a Plaintiff, Defendant and Neutral Arbitrator is further testament to not only his experience as a “dispute resolver” but also his neutrality as a Mediator and Neutral Arbitrator.

When this experience is coupled with Mr. Egerer’s tenacious efforts to continue meaningful settlement dialogue well after the formal date for the Mediation has concluded and his adamant refusal to give up on any case settlement until all possible resolution avenues have been exhausted, this results in a much higher percentage of successfully resolved cases. Compare that effort to most other Mediators who move onto their next Mediation hearing like your case is on an assembly line and would never consider maintaining meaningful settlement dialogue once the Parties and their Counsel leave their office.
